POSITION TITLE: Emergency Response Coordinator

LOCATION: Slidell, LA

REPORTS TO: Manager, Response Services, LA

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in spill response
• Awareness of the Incident Command System (ICS)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Familiar wtth general computer applications and functions
• Possess a valid U.S. Driver License, passport, and TWIC
• Administrative/managerial skills
• Ability to travel at a moment's notice, some times for 25-30 days for spill response activities
• Able to learn quickly
• Must be willing to be a leader and take charge of situations when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced ICS knowledge
• Type 3 Incident Commander qualificaton
• HAZWOPER 40 hour qualification
• ICS training to ICS 800

Duties and Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for responding to oil spills and any other incidents
• Participates in the Duty Incident Commander rotation
• Participates in safety awareness training and exercises
• Develops relationships with agencies and the industry
• Supports response activities everywhere around the world
• Supports training and consulting activities
• Other duties as assigned
