  <li>Plan  development: Development of emergency response plans, crisis management plans, business continuity plans and continuity of operations plans. 				<div><p><b>POSITION TITLE: Consultant, Compliance</b></p>
<p><b>LOCATION: Houston (Metro), TX</b></p>
<p><b>REPORTS TO: Manager, Compliance Services</b></p>
<h4><b>Required Qualifications</b></h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related fields, or 5 years of equivalent experience </li>
<li>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) </li>
<li>Ability to interact with clients </li>
<li>Able to multi-task, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and travel on short notice </li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (oral and written) </li>
<li>Ability to market to new prospects</li>
<li>Knowledgeable about environmental regulations as they relate to the energy or manufacturing industries and recent experience in preparing plans and/or permits that are pertinent to such requirements. These regulations include, but are not limited to: Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA &lsquo;90), and Resources Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) </li>
<li>Knowledgeable about clients&rsquo; standard operating procedures, such as for handling dry cargo, liquid cargo, and hazardous material, as well as security and prevention measures </li>
<li>Knowledgeable about practices used to address clients&rsquo; unexpected emergencies, such as the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Incident Command System (ICS), crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response </li>
</ul>
<h4><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></h4>
<p>Knowledgeable about current Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issues such as the Marine Transportation Security Act (MTSA), Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), and the Port Security Grant Program (PSGP). &nbsp;</p>
<h4><b>Duties and Responsibilities</b></h4>
<ul>
<li>Creates, develops and maintains relationships with assigned clients</li>
<li>Demonstrates trustworthiness, reliability and quality of work to clients to generate further business</li>
<li>Updates and maintains various regulatory compliance plans</li>
<li>Interprets state and federal agency regulations and applies regulatory knowledge to assist clients</li>
<li>Performs field work as needed</li>
<li>Visually inspects client sites to ensure compliance, and assists in achieving compliance, if necessary</li>
<li>Acts as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies</li>
</ul>
